Lola's sibling, Goya, had a medical condition, which was painful and causing him to rapidly lose weight. After many weeks of suffering Dr. Em was there with Goya and me during the final moments and she provided a compassionate and kind euthanasia. Also his remains were taken care of, and within a week his ashes were returned. Dr. Em helped through a difficult time.

Moving to a new city and having Kaiya being my "baby girl" it's stressful finding someone to give her the care I expect. I luckily found Dr Anderson. Kaiya has required vacinations, a replaced ACL due to injury, and now PT because she's not using her leg. When she had her ACL tear he replaced it, and because it was a holiday the next day she had to spend an extra night without me. Dr Anderson not only sent me a text regarding her condition, but also a picture of her (from his personal cell phone) so I could see my little girl was ok. I share custody with my ex husband and he had to take her to one of her appointments with Dr Anderson. He sent me a text regarding how the appointment went knowing that communication between my ex and I was probably small and I was concerned about Kaiya. A couple days ago inbetween her month checkup on her leg he called to see her progress. He felt she needed to be seen. Due to atrophy from not using her leg he took an xray to check things out and got me in contact with a physical therapist to help in her recovery. He wouldn't charge me for the visit or xray. I see his care with all his patients even in the waiting room. He has spent numerous times going over medications with me or answering questions. He's the best DVM I've ever known!!!

My pug is very nervous when going to the Vet. Anytime we have an appt. Dr. Wilson will climb under the table and get down to Lucy's level and gain her trust before doing anything. He is so patient and kind. It's obvious he loves what he does. Helping look after my four legged 'child' as he puts it. Always giving me new information on pugs making sure I'm giving her the right food, exercise and not too much. I wouldn't take my baby to anyone else. (In fact I did and that's why she is scared at first to go to the vet.) thank you Dr. Wilson!!

There are many veterinary hospitals in Santa Cruz county but there is a reason why SVVC was voted 2015 Best Veterinarian in the weekly local paper. That reason is felt by our clients the moment they walk in the door and throughout their pets entire life. In truth, there are several reasons why we are loved by the community. Compassion, dedication, knowledge, skill, and teamwork are just a few words that could be used to describe our family. Although, I am an employee of SVVC and not a client I felt it important to nominate SVVC in the interest of helping animals in need. So many of our clients have financial difficulties. To have a "Rainy Day" fund could literally save a life. In particular Dr. Emily Miller deserves recognition as the new future of SVVC. Currently she works along side her father and practice owner, Dr. Charles Miller. As a new grad of Davis's school of Veterinary Medicine she brings her knowledge and youthfulness to a practice that has been here since 1960 and owned by Dr. Miller SR for 25 years. Her pleasant personality, commitment to her patients, and love of the job will surely keep the legacy alive. SVVC is a wonderful hospital full of love and commitment for all the clients and patients we care for and would be honored to win as Best Vet.

My vet is the absolute best because he is ethical, practical and does over diagnose or treat. After going to vets who charged me too much and treated unnecessarily. I found Dr. David. Though I have to drive 20 miles he is so worth it. He is extremely reasonable while being incredibly thorough, letting the client decide between treatments and costs. He loves animals and remembers all of them as well as understands the clients financial constraints. We just adore him and he keeps my dogs healthy and happy and also is a very good surgeon when needed. We love him.

Dr. Em values building lasting relationships with the clients and our pets. We appreciate her warm, welcoming demeanor and her excitement for the profession. Dr. Em has a wide range of special interests in veterinary medicine, and her Shih Tzu named Oscar is a real joy. When I had to put my dog, Goya, to sleep, she was compassionate and effective without tearing up (unlike me, who was sobbing)...I hope that you'll agree that Dr. Em is the best vet ever!
